Daniel Homer is currently employed as a Security Engineer III at Akuna Capital since October 2023, following a progression from Security Engineer II. Previously, Daniel worked at Coinbase from January 2022 to January 2023 as a Blockchain Security Engineer specializing in digital asset and protocol security, including blockchain and smart contract auditing, along with on-chain monitoring and incident response. Daniel also served as an Assistant Instructor in Cybersecurity at the University of Toronto from December 2020 to March 2022. Prior experience includes a role as a Security Analyst focused on cybersecurity architecture, governance, and risk consulting at Hydro One, where responsibilities encompassed supply-chain cyber risk management and vendor threat assessments. Daniel's career began at EWA-Canada, an Intertek Company, where positions ranged from Security Engineer I to Security Engineer II. Daniel holds a Bachelor of Computer Science with a specialization in Computer and Internet Security, complemented by a minor in Philosophy from Carleton University, completed in 2017.
