Andre Castro is a Principal RF Engineer at Empower RF Systems, with expertise in designing RF power amplifiers from concept to industrialization, focusing on cost reduction and increased efficiency since November 2009. Prior to this role, Andre worked as a Hardware Engineer at Thomson Grass-Valley from 1997 to 2009, where responsibilities included the design of UHF, L-band, and S-band RF power amplifiers for complex waveform broadcast applications and the development of broadband pre-distortion for S-band power amplifiers. Andre holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from Wilkes University, obtained between 1998 and 2001, and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro, earned from 1984 to 1988.
