Philippe VORREUX has extensive work experience in the legal field. Philippe started their career as a Legal Advisor at the World Customs Organization in 2003 and worked their way up to become the Chief Legal Officer. In 2016, they joined the EMBL as the Head of Legal Services. In 2021, they took on roles at the ESM - European Stability Mechanism as the Alternate Chair of the Advisory Committee and at the Green Climate Fund as the Alternate Chair of the Appeals Committee. In 2022, they became a Lecturer at the Master 2 Administration Internationale - Université Paris II Panthéon-Assas and also started serving as the Chair of the Disciplinary Board and Conciliation Board at the Council of Europe Development Bank.
Philippe VORREUX has a diverse education history. In 1997 to 2001, they obtained their Maîtrise degree in International and European Law from Paris-Sud University (Paris XI). Philippe then pursued a DESS (Master 2) degree in International Administration at Paris-Pantheon-Assas University in 2002 to 2003. In 2001 to 2002, they completed an MA degree in Diplomatic Studies at the University of Westminster. Finally, in 2007 to 2009, Philippe achieved an MBA degree at Vlerick Business School. Additionally, they are registered with the Paris Bar, as certified by the Barreau de Paris (Ordre des avocats de Paris).
