Ann Mao is an accomplished legal professional with extensive experience in corporate law, particularly in mergers and acquisitions. Currently serving as General Counsel at Headlands Research since March 2022, Ann previously held the position of Chief Legal Officer at Cargomatic, Inc., where responsibilities included overseeing legal and compliance matters as well as the human resources department. Prior to that, Ann spent a decade at McKesson Corporation, first as Senior Counsel for M&A and later as Senior Vice President, focusing on the legal aspects of mergers and acquisitions. Ann's legal career began at Shearman & Sterling LLP, where 12 years were dedicated to practicing as an M&A attorney. Ann holds a Doctor of Law (J.D.) from Fordham University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Wellesley College.
