Mike Hurd has over 40 years of work experience. Mike began their career in 1980 at Boeing as a Manager of Simulator Engineering, leading an engineering team responsible for technical requirements, procurement and ongoing engineering support for commercial flight simulator programs. During their time at Boeing, they also held the roles of Director of Environmental Strategy, Senior Manager of Integrated Product Strategy and Engineering Manager. In their role as Engineering Manager, they introduced three new flight planning tools while reducing development cycle times by 50%, as well as introducing the first operational performance health monitoring application leveraging Airplane Condition Monitoring Function. In 2021, they joined ELYON International as a Senior Project Manager.

Mike Hurd attended the United States Air Force Academy from 1975 to 1976 and then Iowa State University from 1977 to 1980, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical/Space Engineering.
