Jonathan Cook's work experience begins in 2004 as a Project Engineer at Premier Rides. Jonathan then worked as an Assistant Maintenance Planner at Cornell University Central Heating Plant from 2005 to 2007. From 2007 to 2013, they held various engineering roles at Space Systems/Loral, including Mechanical Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, and Mainbody Structures Product Manager. In 2009, they started volunteering at Oakland Animal Services as a Volunteer and Shift Coordinator. From 2010 to 2013, they also volunteered at the Chabot Space & Science Center, where they fulfilled roles as a Special Events Ambassador and Volunteer Mentor. In 2010, they became involved with SME Silicon Valley - Society of Manufacturing Engineers - Chapter 98, serving as a Volunteer, Tour Coordinator, Chair, and Secretary. In 2013, Cook joined MakerBot® as a Senior Product Manager, eventually transitioning to roles as Director of Product and Director of Product Marketing until 2016. From 2016 to 2017, they worked as the Director of Product Development at HEARTWORK, Inc. In 2017, they joined Elephant Ventures, LLC. as a Senior Product Owner, later taking on the roles of Strategic Innovation Partner and Client Partner, Digital Transformation. In 2022, they also began volunteering at Parks & Trails New York as part of the "I Love My Park Days" program.
Jonathan Cook pursued their education at Cornell University, where they received their Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from 2002 to 2006. Jonathan furthered their studies at the same university, earning a Master's of Engineering degree in Engineering Management from 2006 to 2007.
