Abagale Hearn

Associate Research Scientist at Elemental Enzymes

Abagale Hearn has a diverse work experience in the field of research and laboratory work. Abagale started their career as a Contract Research Assistant at Monsanto in 2013, where they utilized automation and other technologies for high-throughput screening of bacterial samples. In 2014, they worked as a Genetic Quality Assurance Laboratory Intern at Monsanto, where they researched and created a sampling method to improve workflow and safety.

From 2015 to 2017, Hearn worked at Belcan TechServices as a Microbiologist for Monsanto, where they assisted in mining microbiological samples and testing cotton samples for gene characteristics. Abagale also worked as a Research Technician with Monsanto, responsible for testing cotton samples and delegating tasks.

Hearn joined Elemental Enzymes in 2017 and has held various roles. Abagale started as a Research Technician II, responsible for laboratory duties. In 2019, they became an Assistant Research Scientist and Safety Lead, where they contributed to research projects and led safety initiatives. Currently, they are an Associate Research Scientist.
