🌞Kyle Cherrick

VP of Business Development, Board Observer at Electrum

Kyle Cherrick has a diverse work experience in the solar energy industry. 🌞Kyle started working at First Solar Inc. in 2007, where they handled marketing and communications. 🌞Kyle then joined Axio Power in 2008 as a Project Developer, leading development efforts for utility-scale solar power projects. Axio Power was later acquired by SunEdison, and Kyle continued their role at SunEdison as a Sales Manager for DG Projects Group, focusing on developing DG solar projects.

In 2013, Kyle joined Chint Power Systems Americas as the Western Region Sales Manager, where they led sales and marketing efforts for commercial and utility-scale solar power markets. 🌞Kyle achieved significant market share growth for Chint Power Systems in the US.

Kyle founded Solar Merchant in 2014, an online solar marketplace for the small commercial sector. The company was acquired by Pick My Solar Corp. in 2016. 🌞Kyle also served as the Founder and CEO of Solar Merchant, accelerating the development cycle of small commercial projects.

In 2015, Kyle became involved in the company Electrum after their company Solar Merchant was fully acquired. 🌞Kyle took on the role of VP of Business Development and Board Observer. 🌞Kyle later became the VP of Business Development at Solar.com, a brand of Electrum, continuing their work in building the nation's first online home electrification marketplace.

Kyle is also actively involved in the renewable energy industry as an investor and advisory board member. 🌞Kyle has invested in UtilityAPI and served as an investor in Folsom Labs.

More recently, Kyle became a Founding Investor of Climate Avengers in 2021, demonstrating their ongoing commitment to advancing sustainable energy solutions.

Kyle Cherrick began their education at the University of Arizona - Eller College of Management in 2004 and completed their Bachelor's Degree in Entrepreneurship and Marketing in 2008. 🌞Kyle then pursued further education at the Babson F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business from 2014 to 2016, where they obtained their Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree with a focus on Entrepreneurship.
