Robert Haviland has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Robert started their career at Levi Strauss & Co as an Internal Change Resource & Mechanic, where they contributed to the design of a new business model. Robert then worked as the Technology Coordinator at Hickman County Schools for over 15 years, overseeing their technology infrastructure and implementing innovative initiatives. Following that, they served as a System Engineer at Corporate Image Communications, installing and configuring Aerohive products for various organizations. Robert then joined Central Technologies, Inc. as a Technical Engineer, where they provided technical expertise and designed network architectures for clients. Currently, they are working at ENA by Zayo as a Senior Wireless Engineer, focusing on wireless assessments and utilizing tools such as Ekahau and Wi-Fi Explorer. Throughout their career, they have gained experience with a range of wireless platforms including Aerohive, Ruckus, Mist, and Meraki.

Robert Haviland attended Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU) from 1980 to 1982, although their field of study and degree name are not specified. In terms of additional certifications, they obtained various qualifications from different institutions over the years. In 2016, they achieved the Aruba ACMP certification from Aruba, a Hewlett Packard Enterprise company, as well as the Aerohive Technical Sales Professional certification from Aerohive Networks. In 2017, they obtained the Aerohive ACWP certification from Aerohive Networks, the Aerohive Certified Mobility Administrator certification from Aerohive Networks, the Extreme Network Solutions Engineer certification from Extreme Networks, and the Extreme Networks Design Engineer certification, also from Extreme Networks. Robert additionally acquired the CompTIA Mobility+ ce certification from CompTIA in 2016. In 2018, they completed the ICX Implementer certification from Ruckus Networks and the Cloudpath 5.1 SE and Partner Assessment Accreditation Exam from Ruckus Networks. In 2019, they achieved the Certified Wireless Analysis Professional (CWAP) certification, the Certified Wireless Security Professional (CWSP) certification, and the Certified Wireless Design Professional (CWDP) certification, all from CWNP. Robert also passed the Certified Wireless Network Expert (CWNE) certification from CWNP in 2019. In 2020, they completed the Ekahau ECSE - Design certification from Ekahau. In 2021, they acquired the Ekahau ECSE - Advanced certification from Ekahau and the CBRS Certified Professional Installer certification from Coursera. Their most recent certification, as of 2022, is the Certified Wireless IoT Solutions Administrator certification from CWNP, which they obtained in September.
