Michelle Minnihan has work experience as a Design Associate at Education Elements since June 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Middle School Math Teacher at LUMIN Schools from August 2019 to June 2022. In this role, Michelle developed and implemented curricula, facilitated daily instruction of course material, evaluated student performance, and created individualized lesson plans to accommodate students with diverse learning abilities. Earlier in 2019, they worked as an Elementary Math Interventionist at Sycamore Community School District 427 from January to June 2019.
Michelle Minnihan (she/her) completed their Bachelor of Education (BEd) degree in Elementary Education and Teaching from Biola University from 2014 to 2018. In 2016, they attended the Costa Rican Language Academy, where they studied Spanish Language and Literature.
In addition to their formal education, Michelle has obtained several certifications. In May 2020, they earned an Emphasis in Lutheran Education Development from Concordia University-Wisconsin. During the same month, they also received the Neubauer Prize for Urban Education Teaching from The Center for Urban Education Ministries. Furthermore, in December 2018, Michelle completed the Urban Education Program at the Center for Urban Teaching, Inc.
