Kim Dash has over 30 years of work experience in various research and program coordination roles. Starting in 1986, Kim worked as a Research Assistant at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center Duke University. In 1987, Kim worked as a Program Analyst at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and as a Program Coordinator at the Vermont Department of Health. From 1988 to 2008, Kim held multiple roles at EDC (Education Development Center) including Research Assistant, Research Associate, and Senior Research Associate. In 2009, Kim became a Research Scientist at EDC and was later promoted to Senior Research Scientist and Principal Research Scientist. Kim's most recent position at EDC started in 2019.
Kim Dash holds a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD degree in Child, Youth, and Family Policy from The Heller School for Social Policy and Management at Brandeis University, which was completed in 2012. Prior to that, they earned a Master of Public Health - MPH degree in Health Behavior from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1987. Their education history also includes a Bachelor of Arts - BA degree in Urban Social Geography from Clark University, completed in 1985.
