Kristen Metzger is a Science Writer at Rubin Observatory. Kristen has over 20 years of experience in the field of education and interpretation, with a focus on science writing and grantsmanship. Kristen's previous positions include Education Supervisor at Reid Park Zoological Society and Hiking Guide at Canyon Ranch Institute. Kristen has a passion for sharing their love of the outdoors and astronomy with others, and is excited to be a part of the Rubin Observatory team.

Kristen Metzger has a Master of Arts in Zoology/Animal Biology and Conservation Education from Miami University and a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature from Occidental College.
