Claudia Mendez-Garcia, PhD, is an experienced professional currently serving as the Manager of Translational Science at ECOG-ACRIN Cancer Research Group since January 2022. Prior to this role, Claudia held the position of Laboratory Manager at the University of Pennsylvania from September 2016 to December 2021, where responsibilities included ensuring medication safety and efficacy for clinical trials and improving manufacturing quality. Claudia also worked as a Consultant for the Investigational Drug Service, leading the development of cGMP-compliant batch records. Additionally, Claudia contributed as an Adjunct Professor at the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia, teaching courses in Pharmaceutical Sciences, and completed a PhD in Pharmaceutics at the same institution, focusing on hepatic lipid metabolism and early life nutrition. Early research experience includes work at the University of Puerto Rico, where cardiovascular physiology studies were conducted.
