Ishrat Hossain has a diverse academic and professional background in economics and management. Since July 2020, Ishrat has served as an Economics Adjunct Faculty at East West University and has held the position of Adjunct Associate Professor at North South University since July 2024. Concurrently, Ishrat has been the Chairman of 4H Group since 2020 and previously chaired Pa-Wang Ceramic Industry Ltd. from January 2020 to January 2024. Ishrat's prior experience includes a long tenure as an Economics Faculty member at Qatar University from September 2009 to August 2019, and a consultant role at the Qatar National Food Security Programme from 2010 to 2013. Earlier career milestones include working as a Research Fellow at the University of Technology, Sydney, from December 2003 to August 2009, and as a Graduate Research Assistant in the Agricultural Economics Department at Oklahoma State University from 1997 to 2003. Ishrat holds a Ph.D. in Agricultural Economics from Oklahoma State University and a Bachelor's Degree in Economics from Southeastern Oklahoma State University.
