Akwasi Abrefah is an experienced educator and music professional currently serving as a Teaching Artist at the East Bay Center for the Performing Arts since October 2018, where responsibilities include conducting music classes for elementary students and coordinating college preparation for high school students. Additionally, Akwasi has been a Lecturer in the Stanford Music Department since September 2015, focusing on steeldrum music and advising student groups. Previous roles include Business and Operations Manager for Stanford Student Enterprises and Chief Executive Officer of Stanford Aquatics, alongside a research internship at the University of California, Riverside. Akwasi holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Energy Earth Systems from Stanford University, earned in 2015.
