Amanda Fandal currently serves as a Magnet Site Coordinator and Science Teacher for the East Baton Rouge Parish School System, having started in August 2023. Previously, from June 2021 to October 2022, Amanda held the position of Director of Focus Choice Schools, where responsibilities included coordinating the implementation of new schools, ensuring alignment with the district's strategic plan, and facilitating communication between schools and the central office. Amanda's extensive experience in education also includes roles as a Recruiter for Magnet Programs and Assistant Magnet Program Director, along with teaching positions from 2008 to 2019, where Amanda was recognized as Teacher of the Year during the 2011-2012 school year. Amanda's consultancy for AXI Education Solutions involved instructional technology integration and professional development. Academically, Amanda holds a Master of Education in Teaching of the Gifted and Talented and a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication/Public Relations, both from Louisiana State University.
