Elizabeth (Liz) Young is an experienced Nuclear Engineer currently at Duke Energy Corporation, where responsibilities include managing the reload design process for Catawba Nuclear Station Unit 2 and performing interim reload team lead duties for McGuire Nuclear Station Unit 2. With a background in mechanical design and oversight, Liz has held multiple roles at Duke Energy, ranging from Mechanical System Engineer to Acting Manager of Design Engineering Project Management. Prior to Duke Energy, Liz worked at Exelon Nuclear in various engineering capacities, including maintaining special nuclear material control and directing high-impact teams during refueling outages. Liz's academic credentials include Master of Science degrees in Nuclear Engineering and Medical Physics, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Nuclear Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
