Xiaojing Tao has over 14 years of work experience in the software engineering field. They currently work as a Principal Software Engineer at DTEN since September 2020. Prior to this, they were an SDE at Amazon Lab126 from February 2016 to September 2020. Xiaojing Tao also worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Qualcomm Atheros from November 2009 to February 2016, where they focused on developing and fixing bugs on firmware for Qualcomm mobile connection systems, as well as conducting R&D on various coexistence schemes. They also optimized WiFi performance during this time. Additionally, Xiaojing Tao worked as an Embedded Software Engineer at DSP Group Inc. from March 2008 to December 2008, and at Kiyon Inc. from November 2006 to January 2008, where they were involved in wireless network driver development and worked on projects related to interference avoidance and dual radio systems for multihop wireless mesh networks.

Xiaojing Tao obtained a Bachelor's degree in System and Computer Engineering from Tongji University between 1989 and 1995. Later on, they pursued a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering at the University of Ottawa from 1996 to 1999. Finally, Xiaojing completed their educational journey by earning a PhD in System and Computer Engineering from Carleton University, a five-year program spanning from 2000 to 2005.
