Kiel Michael Mercado serves as the IT, Security & Compliance Manager at Dremio since February 2021. Prior to this role, Kiel held the position of Director of IT Operations at DataStax from June 2013 to April 2020, where leadership of a team of seven IT professionals resulted in improved internal processes and enhanced user experiences across multiple global locations. Kiel's earlier experience includes serving as IT Manager at Electric Cloud, overseeing IT strategy and budget, and performing various IT functions as a Systems Administrator and Desktop Support Specialist at StarCite. Kiel began a career in information technology as IT Corporate/Helpdesk at OnVantage following education at San Jose State University, earning a BS in Chemistry with a concentration in Biochemistry.
