Matheus Dorneles de Mello is a Senior Research Specialist at Dow since March 2022 and a Postdoctoral Researcher at Brookhaven National Laboratory since March 2020, focusing on 2D materials for adsorption and catalysis through experimental and simulation methods. Prior experience includes a PhD candidacy in Chemical Engineering at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities from September 2015 to March 2020, where research involved the rational design of metal-organic frameworks and addressing separation challenges with adsorbents. Matheus also completed internships at Petrobras, where responsibilities included characterization techniques for sulfides and materials targeting textural and acid-base properties. Matheus holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Chemical Engineering from the University of Minnesota, a Master of Engineering from Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro, and a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from the same institution.
