Miles Pomeroy has a strong background in software engineering and database management. Miles started their career as a Graduate Studies Data Intern at Brigham Young University, where they improved queries and layouts of annual reports, reducing manual effort by 50%. Miles then pursued further education at the University of California, Irvine, where they worked as a Graduate Student.

After completing their studies, Miles joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints as a Software/Database Engineer. Miles implemented new features and introduced the use of CouchDB into the application stack. Miles also developed scripts for data migration between Oracle and CouchDB databases.

Later on, Miles joined Lingotek as a Senior Software Engineer. Miles focused on performance tuning, full stack feature development, and coordinating a transition to modern distributed web architecture using public/private API layers.
