Taylor Street has been working in the electronics industry since 2016. In that time, they have held three positions. From 2016 to 2019, they were an Application Engineer at AKM Semiconductor, developing analog and digital hardware for the AKM Development Platform (AKDP), designing magnetic and IR sensor circuits to communicate with the development board, and developing full-stack firmware for the AKDP and sensor circuit boards in C and C++. From 2019 to 2021, they were a Firmware Engineer at Maxton Manufacturing, where they were responsible for full cycle development of firmware for electronic, motorized, hydraulic valves, with multi-node CAN communication, RTOS architecture, peripheral communication with SPI and I2C, analog sensor data via ADCs, and BLE communication of accelerometer data with iOS/Android, HMI development and interfacing with PLCs. They are currently a Senior Firmware Engineer at Dojo Five: The Embedded Experts.
Taylor Street attended DeVry University from 2014 to 2017, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Electronics Engineering - Technology. Taylor also attended the University of California, Davis from 2002 to 2007, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology. In addition, Taylor Street has obtained several certifications, including a Certified SolidWorks Associate - Additive Manufacturing from Dassault Systèmes in April 2019, a Converter Circuits from Coursera in December 2018, an Introduction to Power Electronics from Coursera in September 2018, and a Certified SolidWorks Associate from Dassault Systèmes.
