Mike Palmer

Section Lead, Product Management at Distributed Solutions

Mike Palmer has over 20 years of experience in the technology and government contracting industries. Mike began their career in 1996 as a Branch Manager for AccuStaff (Randstadt). In this role, they doubled sales and increased profitability of the branch by over 300% in 1998. Mike then moved to Kelly Services in 1999 as an Area Sales Manager, where they increased the revenue of the Herndon Branch by $900K for 1999 and over $1 million in 2000 by winning significant business with Network Solutions and MCI. In 2000, they became an Account Executive at Starpoint Solutions, where they created and presented proposals for staff augmentation and project based deliverables, developing a base of accounts that generated $150,000 per month in revenue in first five months. In 2007, they took on the role of Vice President at Government Contract Solutions, serving as executive in charge of this operating division with full P&L responsibility. Mike managed overall sales and delivery of solutions to government contractors specializing in contract management and compliance solutions, and was responsible for re-launching an underperforming division leading to a significant increase in profit. From 2010 to 2013, they were Vice President at Vet-Fed Resources, responsible for business development, capture and project execution for the Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business, focusing on Homeland Security and the Department of Veteran Affairs. Mike was also the Program Manager for Vet-Fed's DHS PACTS IDIQ, responsible for responding to task order RFP's, project implementation and task order management. Since 2013, they have been Team Lead, Product Management at Distributed Solutions, Inc., leading Agile project teams to produce new software products or enhancements to existing products built on DSI’s AEON Platform. Mike is highly effective working with stakeholders and technical resources to translate both customer and internal requirements into software solutions.

Mike Palmer received their BA in History from Mary Washington College between 1989 and 1994. Prior to that, they attended WT Woodson from 1986 to 1989.
