Howard Atkin, PhD, SFHEA, CMgr FCMI, is a highly experienced consultant, academic, and director with a distinguished career in policing spanning over 33 years. After retiring as a Police Officer, Howard has taken on various roles at the University of Huddersfield, including senior lecturer in policing and departmental lead for the British Society of Criminology Policing Network. Howard's research interests encompass criminology, criminal psychology, and the application of technology in higher education. Howard is also involved in multiple research centers focused on gender-based violence prevention and social challenges. In addition to academic roles, Howard partners with Discreet Solutions and contributes as a reviewer for various academic journals. The extensive educational background includes a PhD in Homicide/Serious Crime Investigative Methodology and an M.A. in Criminal Intelligence Analysis.
