David Farmer is a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Diamond Light Source, where from October 2020, under the supervision of Dr. Alistair Siebert, David has been employing advanced cryo-electron microscopy techniques for method development and photosynthesis research, collaborating with various institutions including the Rosalind Franklin Institute. Previously, David completed a Postdoctoral Research position at the University of Sheffield and was also a Student Representative at the same institution, engaging with prospective students. David earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Biochemistry from the University of Sheffield, following a Bachelor of Science degree in the same field. Early work experience includes roles as seasonal process colleague at ASDA and bar staff at Peppermint Staffing, along with previous responsibilities as a lifeguard at Northampton Swimming Club.
