Jack Nguyen currently serves as the Chief Scientific Officer at Dextera Biosciences, a position held since August 2021. Previously, Jack co-founded Cavalon Therapeutics, Inc., where Jack also held the role of Chief Scientific Officer until September 2023. With extensive experience in research leadership, Jack spent over a decade at Adamas Pharmaceuticals as Vice President of Research, overseeing budgeting, planning, and cross-functional project teams, particularly in epilepsy drug development, and managing regulatory submissions. Jack has a strong entrepreneurial background, having founded Catalyst Biosciences, where significant fundraising and preclinical development of therapeutic programs were accomplished. Early career experience includes a postdoctoral fellowship at Sunesis Pharmaceuticals. Jack holds a PhD in Biophysics from the University of California, San Francisco, and a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Grinnell College.
