Paran Sonthalia has had a varied and impressive work history, beginning in 2016 when they founded Mango Apps. Paran then moved on to become Systems and Controls Engineer for Berkeley Hyperloop in 2018, and also founded DeWaste in the same year. In 2019, they held roles as both Course Staff for UC Berkeley College of Engineering and Undergraduate Researcher for UC Berkeley Division of Data Sciences. Paran also worked as a Software Engineer Intern for Pivotal Software, Inc. and Amazon in 2019 and 2020 respectively. In 2021, they were a Software Engineer Intern for Citadel Securities and Director of Growth + Software Engineer Intern for MealMe, Inc. Theirmost recent role is Quant Dev for Citadel, which they began in 2022.
Paran Sonthalia attended Mountain View High School from 2014 to 2018, where they received a High School Diploma. Paran then attended the University of California, Berkeley from 2018 to 2022, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Data Science.
