Julien Lanthier co-founded DevCyclop in 2016 and is currently involved in the company. Prior to that, they worked as a teacher assistant for programming for actuarial science (VBA) at UQAM from January 2015 to October 2021.

Julien Lanthier completed a Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science from UQAM | Université du Québec à Montréal, from 2012 to 2015. Before that, they obtained a DEC in Health Science from Collège de Maisonneuve, which they completed from 2008 to 2010. In terms of additional certifications, Julien received the FM/2 - Financial mathematics certification from the Society of Actuaries in June 2014, and the P/1 - Probability certification from the same institution in January 2014. Julien also received the Médaillé académique du gouverneur général from the Government of Canada in 2008 and the Prix de la Coop fédérée from Expo sciences in the same year. Julien also pursued studies in Biopharmaceutical Science at the Université de Montréal, although specific dates and degree information are not provided.
