Pratish Karmacharya started their career in 2012 as a Jr. Software Developer at OATI. During this role, they were a key member of the engineering team that built a scenario builder testing tool, saving project managers 25 hours per week. Pratish also designed a Windows application framework for running regression tests on company-designed web applications and developed a Windows application to automate complex test plans, saving project managers four to six hours per week.
In 2013, Pratish transitioned to the role of Lead Mobile Developer at OATI. Here, they designed and developed an iOS application for controlling home appliances and collaborated with an international Android team on a similar interface. Pratish also introduced new design patterns for iOS development to enhance code quality and maintainability.
In 2017, Pratish became the Manager of webMobile and webSupport at OATI. In addition to their previous responsibilities, they managed a team of developers and testers for webSupport. Pratish also reduced company paper consumption by 95% by designing and developing a document tracking system with a supporting mobile application.
Pratish joined Derive Systems in 2019 as a Software Engineer.
Pratish Karmacharya obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from St. Cloud State University, where they studied from 2007 to 2012. Pratish then pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Software Engineering at the University of St. Thomas from 2014 to 2017.
