Kent Murphy is a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer with extensive experience in the mechanical engineering field, currently employed at Sanmina-SCI - Newisys since May 2012 in the Server Group. Prior to this, Kent held positions at Skyline Products as a Mechanical Design Engineer focusing on Variable Message Signs, and at Light Blue Optics as a Mechanical Engineer involved in product design and tooling. Kent's management experience includes roles as Mechanical Engineer Manager at InPhase Technologies and Plasmon, overseeing engineering teams and developing advanced data storage solutions. Earlier roles include mechanical engineering positions at Eurologic, Philips Laser Magnetic Storage, and Pinnacle Micro, where Kent contributed to the design of optical systems and enclosures. Kent holds a degree from Western Colorado University earned between 1976 and 1980.
