Stephen Blackwelder is an accomplished music director and conductor with extensive experience in leading various choirs and orchestras. Currently serving as the Director of the Chicago Bar Association Chorus since September 2017 and Music Director at North Shore Unitarian Church since September 2016, Stephen also directs the DePaul Community Chorus at DePaul University, a position held since September 2005. Previous roles include Music Director of the Waukegan Symphony Orchestra from September 2000 to May 2018, Director of Adult Choirs at Glenview Community Church, and various positions at Primitive and Minasian Rug Co. Stephen's academic background includes a Master of Music from Northwestern University and a Bachelor of Music from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
