Yuri Shendryk is a Geospatial Data Scientist at Dendra Systems since October 2020, where responsibilities include building predictive models for biomass stocks, conducting R&D for mining and infrastructure projects, and maintaining internal GIS software. Prior experience includes a role as a Postdoctoral Fellow at CSIRO, focusing on sugarcane monitoring and invasive weed mapping, along with a promotion for successful project management and funding initiatives. Additionally, Yuri served as a Visiting Researcher at the University of Copenhagen and completed a Ph.D. at the University of New South Wales. Earlier positions include developing methodologies for water resource monitoring at Helmholtz-Gemeinschaft and conducting glacier measurements at Stockholm University. Notable educational qualifications include master's degrees in Geography and Cartography from Lund University and in Geophysics and Seismology from Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, alongside a bachelor's degree in Geology from the same institution.
