Marius van Laar

R&D Engineer at Delft Circuits

Marius van Laar has a comprehensive work experience in various scientific and technological roles. In 2018, they worked as an Applications Scientist at Smartia Ltd, where they applied Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence to industrial problems. Marius was involved in projects such as the Rolls Royce Hackathon and the Bombardier UK and Canada AI Innovation Challenge. In 2021, they served as a Research Intern at Qu & Co, primarily focusing on Quantum Machine Learning and conducting a literature review to identify research directions suitable for near-term quantum devices. Currently, Marius is employed as an R&D Engineer at Delft Circuits, responsible for creating internal software to automate design processes and collaborating with stakeholders to meet software requirements.

Marius van Laar pursued their education in the field of Physics, starting with a Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Bristol from 2015 to 2018. Marius then furthered their studies by obtaining a Master of Science degree in Physics at the University of Groningen, which lasted from 2019 to 2022.
