Delaney Smith is a Data Science and Research Manager at Deep Breathe, starting in May 2023, after previously serving as a Deep Learning and Medical Modelling Researcher at the same company between May 2022 and December 2022. Prior experience includes a role as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Waterloo, where Delaney developed mathematical models related to renal systems and authored a review on female physiology. In earlier positions at McGill University, Delaney contributed to research on calcium dynamics in osteoblasts and employed optogenetic techniques for cardiac studies. Delaney holds a Master's degree in Applied Mathematics from the University of Waterloo and a Bachelor of Science degree in Physiology and Mathematics from McGill University.
