Ben Smiley has extensive experience in the oil and gas industry. Ben began their career at Anadarko Petroleum Corporation, where they worked as a Production Engineer from 2011 to 2013, then as a Completions Engineer from 2013 to 2015, and finally as a Reservoir Engineer from 2015 to 2018. In 2018, Smiley joined Waterfield Midstream as the Vice President of Engineering until 2019 when they were promoted to SVP of Operations, a position they held until 2020. Currently, they are the Chief Operating Officer at Deep Blue, where they have been working since July 2020.

Ben Smiley attended the Colorado School of Mines from 2007 to 2011 and earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Petroleum Engineering.
