Mike Picha possesses extensive experience in public safety and law enforcement, currently serving as the Director of Public Safety at Wise Health System since November 2015. Additionally, Mike Picha has been a Police Executive at Decatur Police Department since January 1998, balancing this part-time role with a position as an EMT-B at Wise County EMS, also starting in January 1998. From April 2005 to November 2015, Mike Picha contributed as a Firefighter at Decatur Fire Department. Academically, Mike Picha holds a Master's degree and a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice/Police Science from Tarleton State University and Columbia Southern University, respectively, and has completed specialized training at the FBI National Academy and Sam Houston State University.
