Yvonne E. Soto has had extensive work experience, primarily in the field of developmental disabilities. Yvonne E. started their career in 1983 at the Alan Short Center, where they held the role of Program Director for over 23 years. In 2006, they joined DDSO as a Deputy Director before being promoted to the position of President/CEO in February 2008.
Yvonne E. Soto began their education in 1971 at UCLA, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music. Yvonne E. completed their studies in 1973. Following this, they attended California State University, Long Beach from 1976 to 1978, earning another Bachelor of Arts degree, this time in Music Therapy. In 1987, Yvonne enrolled at the University of San Francisco to study Nonprofit Management, which they pursued until 1989.
