Nancy Amanatides (DeRienzo) has extensive experience in mental health services, currently serving as a Clinical Therapist and Supervisor at Hands Across Long Island PROS since July 2014, providing solution-focused and crisis therapy while supervising staff, including LMSW and MSW graduate students. Concurrently, Nancy has been a Mental Health Specialist at Daytop Village Inc. since November 2013, focusing on mental health education and assessments for new clients. Past roles include Special Investigator at both Brunswick Hospital and Brunswick Psychiatric Hospital, where investigations into reportable incidents and quality assurance were conducted. Nancy also served as the Administrator of Mental Health Services at Episcopal Social Services, overseeing mental health programs for children and adolescents, and held leadership positions at University Settlement and Safe Space NYC, Inc. Nancy earned a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Hunter College, with education focused on casework and clinical/medical social work.
