Stephanie Hume has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Stephanie began their career as a Quality Assurance Engineering Intern at BIOMEC Cardiovascular, Inc. in 2002. Stephanie then worked as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at The University of Iowa from 2003 to 2004. In 2004, Stephanie joined the University of Colorado Boulder as a Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU).
After completing their undergraduate studies, Stephanie continued their research at the University of Colorado Boulder as a Graduate Research Assistant - Ph.D. Student from 2005 to 2010. During this time, they also undertook a Basic Research Engineering Internship at Boston Scientific (formerly Guidant Corporation) in 2005.
Following their Ph.D., Stephanie joined the National Institute of Standards and Technology as a Materials Research Engineer, NRC Post-doctoral Fellow from 2011 to 2013. Stephanie then transitioned to the industry and worked at Boston Biomedical as both a Post-doctoral Scientist and a Clinical Research Scientist from 2013 to 2017.
In 2017, Stephanie joined Clovis Oncology as an Associate Director, Clinical Science and later took on the role of Director, Clinical Science from 2020 to 2022.
Currently, Stephanie is the Director, Clinical Scientist at Day One Biopharmaceuticals, starting in January 2023.
Stephanie Hume completed their Bachelor of Science in Engineering (BSE) in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Iowa from 2001 to 2005. Stephanie then pursued a higher level of education at the University of Colorado Boulder, where they obtained their PhD in Chemical Engineering between 2005 and 2010.
