Supraja Narasimhan

Associate Director, Clinical Scientist at Deciphera Pharmaceuticals

Supraja Narasimhan has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Supraja'smost recent position is as an Associate Director, Clinical Scientist at Deciphera Pharmaceuticals, where they have been since February 2023. Prior to that, they held the role of Senior Manager, Clinical Scientist at the same company from December 2020 to January 2023.

Supraja started their career as a Post-doctoral associate at Boston University School of Medicine from November 2011 to June 2012, and prior to that, they were a PhD candidate (Cell and Molecular Biology and Pathology and Laboratory Science) at the same institution from June 2005 to July 2011. Supraja's earliest work experience was at Newgen Imaging systems, where they served as a Scientific Editor and Schedule Coordinator from September 2000 to March 2003.

Supraja Narasimhan has a diverse education history. Supraja obtained a PhD in Pathology, Cell and Molecular Biology, Cancer Biology, and Toxicology from Boston University School of Medicine in 2011. Prior to that, they earned an MS in Microbiology from the University of Pune, India in 2000, and a BS in Microbiology and Biotechnology from Savitribai Phule Pune University in 1998.

Supraja has also completed several certificate programs and courses. In 2017, they participated in the Clinical Investigation Program at Boston University, focusing on regulatory and compliance issues, as well as designing clinical research studies. Supraja obtained a certificate in Principles of Clinical Pharmacology from the NIH Clinical Center in 2015 and completed a certificate program in Introduction to the Principles and Practice of Clinical Research at the same institution in 2014. Additionally, they obtained a certificate in Public Speaking from Harvard Extension School in 2014.

Supraja has received various additional certifications, including Sanyin Siang on Strategic Mentoring and Strategic Thinking from LinkedIn in 2022. Supraja also obtained certifications in CITI-HIPAA in 2018 and CITI Human Subjects Protection in 2015. Supraja completed courses in Principles of Clinical Pharmacology and Fundamentals in the Conduct of Clinical Research, both in 2014.

Supraja is continually expanding their knowledge and skills through education and certifications. Currently, they are pursuing a Scientist MBA (SMBA) from Cheeky Scientist.
