Nicollette Wands has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Nicollette is currently an Account Manager at Dataminr, where they manage relationships with US state and local governments, exceeding sales targets and leveraging AI and ML technologies to provide real-time incident and event notifications. Prior to this, they were an Entrepreneur, owning and operating seasonal vacation cabin rentals. Nicollette also worked at the Illinois Department of Innovation & Technology (DoIT), where they held various roles including CIO for Central Management Services and Software Engineering Manager. During their time at DoIT, they strengthened relationships with stakeholders, led technology initiatives, and managed a team of engineers and project managers. Before that, they worked at Littelfuse as a Manager in Collaboration Technologies, leading a team and improving collaboration tools. At Discover Financial Services, they served as a Collaboration Technology Product Manager, overseeing strategy and resolving cybersecurity vulnerabilities. Nicollette also worked as an Infrastructure Project Manager & Engineer, managing technology projects and transformations, and as a Data Center Engineer. Their early career included roles as a QA Dept Project Manager, Collections Project Manager, and Programmer.

Nicollette Wands has a strong education background in the field of technology. Nicollette attended DeVry University from 2004 to 2006, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology Systems. Prior to that, they attended Tacoma Community College from 1999 to 2002, where they earned an Associate of Arts and Sciences degree in Application Development.

In addition to their formal education, Nicollette Wands has also obtained several certifications. In 2014, they received the ITIL Foundation Certification in IT Service Management from PEOPLECERT. In 2013, they became a Certified Data Center Professional and a Certified Data Centre Specialist, both from EPI. Most recently, in September 2020, they obtained the PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) certification from the Project Management Institute.
