Ranjit Singh

Ranjit Singh is a Researcher at the Data & Society Research Institute since 2020. Prior to that, they were a Clinical Research Fellow at the Digital Due Process Clinic from 2019. From 2012-2011, they were a Graduate Student at Cornell University and a Researcher at Maastricht University, where they worked on an EU-project on Knowledge Brokerage for Environmentally Sustainable Sanitation in Europe (BESSE). Ranjit was a Research Intern at the University of Exeter from 2010-2008, where they traced the historicity of the discourse around the development of Cancer Biomedical Informatics Grid (caBIG). From 2008-2007, they were an Associate Consultant at Technopak Advisors, Bangalore and an Associate Researcher at Onward Research + Innovation Pvt. Ltd. Ranjit was also a Freelance Journalist at Daily News Analysis (DNA) from 2007.

Ranjit Singh attended Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of Information and Communication Technology from 2003 to 2007, where they obtained a Bachelor of Technology (BTech) in Information and Communication Technology. Ranjit then attended Maastricht University from 2009 to 2011, where they obtained a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Cultures of Arts, Science and Technology. Finally, they attended Cornell University - College of Arts and Sciences from 2012 to 2018, where they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Science and Technology Studies.
