Nancy Lai's work experience begins in 2012 with a role as a Voter Registration Organizer at the Alliance for Jobs and Sustainable Growth. In 2014, they worked as an SMB Sales Coordinator at Google through Adecco. In 2016, they became an Assistant Instructor at App Academy and later that year joined RedLock as a Frontend Engineer. In 2018, Nancy joined Palo Alto Networks as a Staff Software Engineer and then was promoted to Senior Staff Software Engineer in 2019. Their most recent role is as a Founding Member and Goddess of UI at Dassana, starting in July 2020.

Nancy Lai completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Exercise Biology from the University of California, Davis, from 2009 to 2013. Later on, they attended App Academy in 2016 to pursue a specialization in Software Development.
