Kelly is from Carmel and graduated from Hermon High School. Kelly was also a member of the Carmel Volunteer Fire Department.

He earned his degree in the automotive industry as a technician and shortly thereafter began working as a tech at Darling's. His desire to work directly with customers and to become a liaison on their behalf with the technicians lead Kelly to apply for a team service manager position when one became available. Kelly's knowledge of what's under the hood is a valuable resource for his team and his customers.
