Rima Prama Artha has an extensive work experience starting from 2003 at The SMERU Research Institute as a Junior Researcher. In 2007, Rima worked as a Research Analyst at The World Bank Jakarta, followed by a role as a Quantitative Researcher at The National Team for the Acceleration of Poverty Reduction (TNP2K) in 2014.
From 2016 to 2018, Rima worked as a Research Specialist at INOVASI. In 2018, they joined Program Kemitraan Indonesia Australia untuk Perekonomian (Prospera) as an Economist-Gender and Inclusion.
In 2019, Rima became a Country Economist at UNDP, a role which they held until joining faculty of economics, university of Indonesia as a Lecturer in 2015.
Most recently, Rima started working as the Chief Economist for Danareksa in October 2021.
Rima Prama Artha completed their Bachelor of Economics degree in Economics at the Faculty of Economics, University of Indonesia from 1999 to 2003. Rima Prama then pursued a Master's degree in International Development Economic at The Australian National University from 2005 to 2006. Rima also attended the National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies, where they obtained a Master of Arts in Economic Development from 2009 to 2011. Continuing their studies at the same institution, they went on to earn a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Economics Development from 2011 to 2015.
