Sarah Kwon has extensive work experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Sarah worked at Daiichi Sankyo, Inc. from 2016 onwards, starting as an Associate Director in Global Business Development, Commercial Assessments. There, they played a key role in evaluating new business opportunities by conducting strategic, competitive, and financial assessments. Sarah then progressed to the position of Associate Director in Global Business Development, Oncology Transactions, where they focused on driving global business development deals. In 2021, they were promoted to the role of Director in the same department.
Prior to their time at Daiichi Sankyo, Inc., Sarah worked as a Manager in Business Development at Amgen from 2015 to 2016. Sarah also gained valuable experience through a two-year rotational program as a Post-Doctoral Pharm.D. Fellow in Business Development & Commercial at Daiichi Sankyo, Inc. partnered with Rutgers University from 2013 to 2015. During this program, they gained experience in various commercial roles, including marketing, new product planning, and market research.
In addition to their industry experience, Sarah worked as an Adjunct Faculty at Rutgers University's Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy from 2013 to 2015. Sarah also began their career as an Intern Pharmacist at CVS from 2007 to 2013.
Sarah Kwon has a diverse education background. Sarah obtained a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy Studies from the University of Connecticut in 2010. Sarah then pursued a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the same institution, which they completed in 2013. Additionally, during the same time period, they also earned a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Connecticut School of Business. In 2011, they briefly studied Greek Culture and Language at the University of the Aegean in Rhodes, Greece. Sarah Kwon has also obtained additional certifications, including ACPE-Accredited Immunization Training for Pharmacists from the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education and a State of New York Pharmacist certification from the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy.
