Isaac Nichols-Paez is an experienced educator and researcher in mathematics, currently serving as an Upper School Mathematics Teacher at Currey Ingram Academy since August 2021, where the focus is on supporting students with learning differences in Geometry through tailored curriculum and activities. Concurrently, as a Graduate Research Assistant at Vanderbilt Peabody College since August 2014, Isaac engages in research to create technological and social supports for learners in mathematics, collaborating with software designers and teachers. Previous roles include an Algebra 1 PLUS Instructor at Republic High School, where focused instructional content was developed for diverse student needs, and a Grading Assistant at The University of Kansas, where grading criteria and feedback mechanisms for Linear Algebra and Intermediate Analysis were established. Isaac holds a PhD in Learning Sciences from Vanderbilt Peabody College and a BA in Mathematics from The University of Kansas.
