Stefan Nilsson has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Stefan began their career in 2004 as a Software and Sales Engineer at Softcenter AB, where they established a new business area and developed laser-based measurement systems for industrial customers in Northern Sweden. In 2006, they joined Enea as a Software Engineer, where they worked on embedded software projects for telecom systems. Stefan also served as a Field Application Engineer and later an Account Manager, managing software product and professional services sales for customers in the Nordic region, Poland, and Russia.
In 2011, Stefan joined Tail-f Systems as the Director of Sales for EMEA, where they were responsible for sales in the European market. After that, they worked at Twobo Technologies as the VP of Sales from 2014 to 2017, focusing on sales strategies and management.
From 2014 onwards, Stefan has also been actively involved with Nordic APIs, a global API community, where they serve as an Organizer responsible for event sponsorship and connecting organizations with the API community. Currently, Stefan is working as the Chief Commercial Officer at Curity, leading the global sales team and driving year-on-year growth for the organization. Curity specializes in solving identity, API, and digital service-related problems, offering a unique combination of IAM and API management through the Curity Identity Server.
Stefan Nilsson pursued their education in the field of Computer Science and Engineering at Luleå University of Technology from 2000 to 2004. During their academic journey, they also had a brief stint at Kansas State University in 2003, where they studied Computer Engineering. While the degree obtained from Luleå University of Technology is mentioned as an M.Sc., no specific degree is provided for the time spent at Kansas State University.
