Vytas Vaiciulis is a seasoned professional in data science and analytics, currently serving as the Lead Data Scientist at the Central Statistics Office Ireland since September 2017. In this role, Vytas is responsible for leading the modernization of the organization’s statistical analytics platform, enhancing analytics capabilities, and managing cross-functional collaborations. Previously, Vytas held roles including Lead Data Analyst and Data Analyst, focusing on data storage infrastructure modernization and code review for statistical production. Educational qualifications include an MSc in Computer Science with a specialization in Data Analytics from the University of Galway, a Professional Diploma in Official Statistics, and multiple degrees in Software Development from Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology. Additional experience includes technical support roles and representing GMIT at various educational events.
