Roger Clermont has a diverse work experience in the field of software engineering and technology. Roger started their career as a QA Engineer at Softkey International in 1996 and then worked as a Network Administrator at Proteus Design in 1997. In 1998, they joined Cendant Internet Engineering as a Software Developer. Roger then moved on to work at Sight & Sound Software and Conducive Technology as a Software Engineer from 1999 to 2002. In 2002, they started their own consulting firm called Clermont Consulting, where they worked as the Owner until 2004. From 2004 to 2005, they were a Software Engineer at the US Army Corps of Engineers. Roger then joined UC Davis as a Software Engineer in 2005 and later joined Panasonic Avionics Corp in 2006, where they worked as a Senior Software Engineer until 2014. During their time at Panasonic Avionics Corp, they also held the role of Principal Engineer starting in July 2018, which is their current position. In addition, they worked as a Senior Cloud Engineer at CrowdStrike from 2014 to 2018.

Roger Clermont attended Northeastern University from 1993 to 1999, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science.
